After the SHOW BOOT command how do I set the "BOOT path-list:" to a null value and how do I set the "Config file:" to a value of "flash:config.text"?

Hi,

Did you use "no boot system"? I edit the early post from "no boot boothlpr" to "no boot system"

Dandy

Hi,

Is this a router or a switch and what model?

Regards,

Dandy

Dear Dandy,

This is a switch model Catalyst 3500 series XL model WS-C3534-XL-EN.

I have now resolved one issue setting "Config file:" to "flash:config.text" by entering "configure terminal" mode followed by the "BOOT config-file flash:config.text" command.

I still wish to set the “BOOT path-list:” to a null value.

In addition I wish to set the “Enable Break:” from a value of “1” to a value of “no”.

Hi,

To set enable break from 1 (or yes) to 0 or (no);

switch# config t

switch(config-t)#no boot enable-break

To set boot path-list to null

switch# config t

switch(config-t)#no boot system

Regards,

Dandy

Dear Dandy,

The set enable break from 1 (or yes) to 0 or (no);

switch# config t

switch(config-t)#no boot enable-break

has worked OK.

However the "BOOT path-list: flash:c3500XL-c3H2s-mz.120-5.WC3b.bin" still remains!

Dear Dandy,

The "no boot system" seems to have done the trick.

I will rate the call on my return from vacation.

Best Regards, Steve
