Cisco 1231 VS 1242

Hello

I had maked a sight survey whith a 1231 AP, and 2 2,2dc antannas.

now is my qustion - is there any problem, to convert to 1242 whith 2 2.2dBi/2.4Ghz,5.0dBi/5GHz DualBand Dipole Antenna

Is the wireless range of these produckts the same??

and can a 526 expres controller works whith 1242 and 1131 AP?

Hi Lars,

The recommendation for site surveys would dictate that you try to use the exact AP/Antenna combination for both the survey and deployment. You should at minimum look at the results in a few of the areas done in the site survey when using the 1242 to measure and compare expectations.

The 526 Express Controller can only manage Cisco 521 Wireless Express Access Points;
