Model recommendation for site-to-site VPN

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I am looking for a cheap VPN box, that will support site-to-site IPSec VPN, with a Cisco 2811 running IOS 12.4.

Currently I use the Software VPN Client, but need upgrade to a site to site setup.

So far, I believe the ISR 851 would work.

Can anyone recommned me a CHEAP model that would suite my requirments ?

Thanks !!

I have this problem too.

Hi,

What is your budget for this? Also, thus the remote site is using permanent or dymanic Public IP Address from the provider?

Dandy

Hi,

I am looking for something < $500.

The remote site has a dynamic IP (cable modem), but for the most part it remains the same, and can be treated as static.

However, my first preference would be to run the device from behind another NAT/firewall.

Fox example, I am currently running a VPN client on my PC, behind a NAT router/firewall.

If possible, I would like to plugin the VPN router behind the NAT too.

Thanks
