compact flash card in 1841 problem

hi,

i an not able to boot my cisco 1841 router.

boot: cannot open "flash:"

boot: cannot determine first executable file name on device "flash:"

can anybody helpme how to format the compact flash or any other possibilities to boot the router.

My first suggestion would be to power down the router, eject the flash, reseat the flash, and power up. I have seen many problems of failure to boot an 1841 to be fixed by reseating the flash.
