Hi,
I have a problem with Cisco Unity Express.
When the user calls his mailbox from his own phone he is asked for his Extension ID followed by #.
Normally, the system should automatically detect the user ID if the call is from his own phone and it should only ask for the password.
Early it was working correctly.
I perhaps modify something in my CCME config but I really don't see what.
It seems that the caller ID is not recognized by Unity.
What are the requirements for Unity to recognize the caller ID?
Thanks in advance,
François

Make sure that you do this on the CUE module from the CME router enable prompt:
ser ser 1/0 sess (asumign cue is in 1/0)
[enter]
enable
[enter]
conf t
voicemail callerid
exit
wr
Now check if it has changed anything when you playback the voicemail left by an user.

This problem is now solved.
I removed the "dialplan-pattern" commands that I used and the problem disappeared.
Using it, the dn of the phone being presented to CUE as the expanded number was changed.
This then required a translation pattern to change it to back to the short extension number or using the secondary number in CUE to match the extended number.
