Had anyone setup a SIP trunk with Cisco Call Manager and broadvoice?
Is there a voip provider that you would recommend that allows SIP trunks to our version of call manager?

Did you ever get this to work?
I would like to setup a SIP trunk to a provider without having to use a voice gateway. I dont see anywhere to place the UID/password required for the SIP trunk within CM. Running 6.1

You will need to find a provider that allows authentication based on IP address, not based on a username/password combination.
What I've done is put an Asterisk box in between CUCM and the providers (Asterisk handles authentication) - it's the easiest way to solve the issue while maintaining flexibility in being able to choose the provider.
