UC500 config

Hi

We have just installed a UC500 32U 6BRI system to our business in the UK.

We have 5 ISDN2e coming into our system and have the system all setup but for these.

How do we map the ISDN ports to the system, as when we try and dial in to the system we get no connection. The same when we try and dial out.

We have 4 x isdn2 (8 lines) on our main number and 1 x isdn2 (2 lines for faxes) plugged into the UC500 but can not get an outside line.

Is there some command to tell the system what lines we have and what to do when a call comes in on these ports.

Sorry new to this system.

Any help would be greatly recieved

Thanks

Hi, likely the lines have so-called 'point-to-point' config, try configuring "isdn static-tei 0' under the ones for main number.

After that try "term mon", "debug isdn q931" and "isdn test call int x/y 123". x/y is any interface you want to test. You should see a (data) call go out and fail.

Then the rest is proper dial-peer configuration. I strongly suggest you place the lines in trunk-group, this is done configuring "trunk-group bri" under bri interface, and referencing said trunkgroup instead of port in the dial-peer.
