IPS reload fail over

In another topic I was told that recovering the IPS SSM by upgrading/reloading the image would cause the firewall to fail over. Will upgrading the "fail over" device cause it to fail back to the primary?

Hi,

Yes, if the secondary is currently operating in active mode then reloading the IPS will force it to fail back. (But only if the IPS in the primary is online)
