Hola,

if the phone is local to CME LAN, you don't need username and password. But if it is remote, please set username same as assigned number. Alse please set codec g711u under voice register dn, and in the phone too. The alternative is to confiugure a voice class listing the codeces you can have in the softphone.

Then if still problems, please collect "debug ccsip message" with "term mon", and send it here.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Sorry, but... how to set codec under voice register dn?

And the debug command don't show me anything... only text can i see is

But this files it's for SCCP, not for SIP.

Hi,

if you really want to use the phone as SIP, you need to convert it to SIP image by downloading the phone firmware on CCO (require download privileges with a purchased support contract).

However I recommend to use cisco phones in SCCP mode with the UC520, it's easier and you will have more services, interface translation, etc.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

I want setup SIP protocol for an enviroment of lab, therefore I want to raise a Cisco IP Phone 7960, Linksys IP phone and xlite or ekiga softphone whit SIP in the UC520.

This files have in the UC520 flash: and the config file load firmware.

P003-08-7-00.sbn

P0S3-08-3-00.loads

Hi,

Under global, configure tftp-server for all the 8.0(7) files. Under voice-register global, configure load 7960-7940 P0S3-08-7-00, tftp-path flash:, and create profile.

Configure a voice register pool with correct MAC address and type.

Deconfigure ephone of same mac if one was configured.

De-power phone. Press # while turning on. When it say "reset sequence detected" release # and press 123456789*0#. Confirm reset network settings with 2.

If all is good phone will reflash with SIP image. You can check what it is doing with "debug tftp events" and "term mon".

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
