pushing default route via eigrp

I have 3 sites. one is HQ and the other two are branches. The branches connect to HW via serial lines and the Branches connect to each other via Fast Ethernet lines. I would like to give the sites a default route via eigrp ip summary commands and have fail over. I have pushed the default route from HQ, but fast ethernet side shows as path for all other networks. How can I make the Fast ethernet side a backup default route with no route advertisements?

Hi

The problem is that fastethernet link is preferred over serial because of bandwidth and delay.

You can

1) Modify the delay so that the serial link is preferred in each of your remote sites

2) Make the fast ethernet interfaces under EIGRP passive interfaces on your remote routers and then use a floating static route which will only be used if the default-route from HQ disappears.

Jon

I set the bandwidth and delay on the fast ethernet interfaces, set the passive interface on both remote routers and implemented a floating static route with a AD of 91.

thanks for your help.
