IPCC Express LDAP Authentication

I have a customer that is using IPCC Express 5.0 with CallManager 5.1. CallManage is set up for LDAP Authentication for End Users. According to “Understanding the Directory”

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/5_0_1/ccmsys/a04direc.html

"When both synchronization and authentication are enabled, the user gets authenticated against the corporate directory. Thus, users need to use their corporate directory password."

In my scenario I am using Active Directory, so when an agent logs into the CAD are they authenticated via Active Directory? The reason for the question is that I want to make sure that CallManager is completely out of this process and that the authentication happens real time with Active Directory.

Thank you,

You are right, the authentication has nothing to do with the CallManager. The AD server will be dealing with the authentication when you try to login to the agent.
