failed to convert AP1252 to LWAPP Mode

Hi Folks, i tried to Upgrade 2 AP1252 from Autonomous to LWAPP, using Upgrade Tool 3.2 and c1250-rcvk9w8-tar.124-10b.JA.tar image. If i start the Upgrade Process, the Tool answers tht the Image is "... not a valid one." Any Idea? This is the only available Image on CCO. Regards, Michael

Hi All, the Solution is that you can directly download the Recovery Image via TFTP and manually reload the AP. After that, the AP starts the Controller Discovery Process, Joins the Controller and so on. Rgrds, Michael

Hi Michael,

I came across the same "invaid image" issue when I was using the Upgrade Tool.

As a work around, try using a external TFT server (e.g. Solarwinds) on a different PC to host the *.tar image.

Adjust the "LWAPP recovery Image" settings in the Upgrade Tool to reflect accordingly.
