Banner Login issue

I am trying to copy and paste a banner from another router into a new one i am configuring and i am having trouble. Here is an example....

router#(config)banner login C

i paste the info in from the other config and I get a bunch of invalid errors.

Hi

when you look at the banner in the config you are taking it from it will contacin a ^C at the start and the same at the end ^C. Try delete the C from each of these and just leave the ^ as the delimiting character.

I figureed it out, I was using a c and there was a c in my banner. so i switched to a ~
