Hi,
There is snmp trap for authentification failure.
Does it exist this same information with syslog ?
Does it exist a syslog for authetication failure, if yes which is the severity ?

The syslog message would look like:
Jan 25 14:00:45 UTC: %SNMP-3-AUTHFAIL:
Authentication failure for SNMP req from host 10.1.1.1
