I have a question regarding policy-based routing. If the link/circuit that is associated with the ip next-hop statement goes down the ip next-hop will no longer exist. Will the router drop the packet, or will the router realize this and do a route lookup in the routing table?

If the next-hop is down, the route-map becomes invalid and packet will be routed normally.
