OSPF and 3660/2924XL

Hi

My 3660 is not populating the routing table:

3660 on 12.4.15T2 with 2 FA interface:

10.0.26.100 on FA0/1

10.0.126.1 on FA2/0

I have router ospf 1 with A0 turned on for both interface and confirm with sh ip ospf interface. C6k-Core has full OSPF routing table and I am trying to neighbor up with the c6k-Core.

3660--2924XL---C6k(Access Switch)--C6k(Core Switch)

I can ping the local VLAN26 (10.0.26.x/24) so able to ping/telnet to 2924 and C6k-Core

2924 relevant configs:

Port facing 3660:

switchport access vlan 26

spanning-tree portfast

Port facing C6k-Edge:

switchport multi vlan 26

switchport mode multi

C6k-Edge Relevant configs:

switchport

switchport access vlan 26

switchport mode access

Don't think I need to provide c6k-edge to c6k-core as it is working fine for other parts of the network

I have this problem too.

3660 - Don't worry about Fa 0/1 as I don't have anything attach. I am only concern with F2/0. On the 3660, I was able to telnet to the C6k-core and run the commands

R-WAAS-WAE-CA#sh ip ospf int brie

Interface PID Area IP Address/Mask Cost State Nbrs F/C

Fa0/1 1 0 10.0.126.1/24 1 DOWN 0/0

Fa2/0 1 0 10.0.26.100/24 1 DR 0/0

On the C6k-core

core1#sh ip ospf inter brief

Both are set to DR on the same LAN so they haven't seen each other.

Can you change the

switchport multi vlan 26

switchport mode multi

to

switchport access vlan 26

switchport mode access

Can you connect the 3660 directly to the Cat6k Edge ?

OSPF relies on multicast, are you doing any multicast filtering ?

What is the function of the 2924 , seems starnge haveing it in the middle of a core dist link . Maybe you can post a "show ip ospf interface" for each side of the link .
