Too much traffic in the network

Hi.. 2 situations !

I made a test with a traffic generator.. the target was a IP Phone 7912... and after a few sec, it lost connection to CM..

- is there anyway of protecting IP Phones from this kind of 'attack' ?

- what is the best solution when you have a 3650 (gigabit switch) and PC with Giga ethernet NIC.. and there is a phone between them with 100mbps switch ?! did anyone faced this situation ?

The 7912 handsets have some limitations in handling high traffic rates. Refer to the attached PDF for more background and suggestions on how to mitigate this.
