Question regarding ip routing

Unanswered Question
Jan 29th, 2008

I got CCNA 640-802 by Todd sixth edition. page 341 figure 6.9 but when he configures the Corp router on page 344

Corp(config-if)#int s0/0/0

Corp(config-if)# ip address 10.1.2.1 255.255.255.0

I get confused on network address is 10.1.2.0 is on S0/0/1 interface?

Can you please help? why not the S0/0/1 instead S0/0/0

Regards

fayyaz

Hi Fayyaz,

I don't have this book and can't see the figure, but I think it may be a misprint.

I regularly find misprints in networking books.

It looks like the diagram on 341 is wrong. Reverse which serial connections 10.1.3.0 and 10.1.2.0 use.

Like the previous poster said, most computer books have mistakes. Especially cert books. This is probably due to the rush to get them to print, thanks to the demand by us. My advice, get used to it, trust your instincts when you think you've found a mistake.
