Hi,

Can somone please let me know how to configure a cisco box to send CRC errors in to SNMP/MIB polling server.

Ok what I want to do is to have CRC alerts in Netcool when they are increasing.

Thanks in advance.

You need to poll the object locIfInCRC

(.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.12) and setup Netcool for thresholds

-or-

you could setup rmon alarms/events for these objects:

Hi Davistan,

Thanks for your reply.

Can you please let me know whether I have to do any config on the device to enable locIfInCRC. or is it just config on the netcool server?

This is something you need to do on the netcool server. The MIBs are already built into the IOS and will respond to queries from netcool.

The only thing you will need to do on the device is enable snmp

snmp-server community public RO

Thanks Davistan. snmp-server community public RO is alrady enabled. will try on the server side.
