What web-filtering capabilities does the ASA have...is it any good? Does it need to work w/ another local server ie. Websense...or does it filter by checking an online database? Can I setup filter groups based on AD groups? Also, what are the reporting capabilities? Can I report on user usage/blocking/categories? Any other help reccomendations would be great. Thanks.

yes ASA can perform web filtering both Content filtering module and external url filter like web sense or smart filter formally N2H2 it depends on model except asa 5505 all support CSM module for web filtering with 5505 you have to use websense or smart filter hope it will help you
