wireless lan setup on a site

I am desinging a wireless network at one of our sites and I had a question in regards to setting up the vlans. The site has two sections, section a and b. Both sections are far enough apart that each section will require its own poe switches to connect to the access points. They are all on the same lan. section a will have the wlc.

here is the setup:

section a

12 aps

1 poe switch configured with 4 vlans for aps, management and ap management and 1 dynamic interface

wlc 4404/50

section b

12 aps

1 poe switch configured with ap vlan only.

no wlcs

The question i have is:

1) do I need to add a wlc to section B or will the access points just need to be configured on the same ap vlan as section a

Hi Musumani,

Section B would not require a separate WLC.

Hope this helps!
