SNMP configurations

Hello everyone,

I just want to start by thanking everyone for all their previous help. But I have some new questions for you and hope you can lend a hand.

I have a few clusters of C3524XL switches ( 2-4 in each cluster ) and would like to change the SNMP RO name. They currently have the following...

snmp-server community ????? RW

snmp-server community ?????@es0 RW

snmp-server community ????? RO

snmp-server community ?????@es0 RO

Can I remove these and just use 1 name RO?

I would also like to use an access-list at the end of the SNMP statement to only allow access from our SNMP server but I've read that this may cause issues because of an access class 199 list that was created on the command switch when the cluster was created.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Matt

I think if you change the community it will affect others. You should maintain same entry on all switches in the cluster
