Routing Problem

Hi there,

I have kind of a routing problem. At the moment I have a cisco 1800 Router (10.17.2.1) which is the default Gateway in a 10.17.0.0/16 Net. All traffic to other 10.x.x.x Networks is routed over the Routers MPLS WAN Port. The default Route (for all other non 10.x.x.x traffic i.e. Internet etc) points to 10.17.0.1 a Router which is our Internet GW.

How can I configure the C1800 to send all Internet bound Http/Https traffic through its MPLS WAN Port but all other non HTTP/HTTPS internet bound traffic to our local GW 10.17.0.1 ?

Hope you can help.

Best....Andy

Hi Andy

You need to look at Policy Based Routing which allows you to specify the next-hop based on criteria other than just the destination IP address.
