Has anyone ever used a Linux server to run the SFTP service? We were just about to upgrade from 4.1(3) to 5.1(3) and then were told that we can't use a Windows server for SFTP.

there is no reason to not use a windows server as SFTP, i used my PC as SFTP when i upgraded my CUCM 5 server at the lab, i use it when i need to patch it and for the locales

you can try freeFTPD for that matter, really straight forward to configure and easy to use

Thanks for the response.

We're being directed to use a Linux box for this function.
