Hello
I have a 6509 having EBGP peering with a
juniper box .The peering is to the directly connected GIG interfaces .I see that in a day couple of times the BGP flaps and comes back up in 10 seconds .
The gig SFP interfaces on 6509 reports that there are some drops and flushes in day. These drops and flushes are not incrmenting in pattern.but its recording the same..
After changing the hold queue value to 2000 in 4 interfaces and observong it over a period of 40 hours I have seen that one of the interfaces is stable and other have flapped just once ..
All the interfaces are still reporting drops and flushes though not in a great number ..
The duplex is full, speed is 1000, and flow control is off.
Any idea as what I should be looking to.
There is another 6509 peering with juniper with exact same set of config and that does not flap...
what should I be checkin on

May be lots of BGP messages are exchanged. Verify this things . Better extending the size of the input hold queue
