MDS 9124 & Fabric Manager

A couple of other questions....Why is there a dotted cross (orange?) over the switch in Fabric Manager? Is this because the switch only has the one PSU fitted and would need the 2nd redundent one to be "fully operational" and is therefore operating with limited capability?

Also, when you hover the cursor over a device (HBA, Tape drive or whatever) in the graphically displayed picture of your SAN the last part text that comes up says "Hub: null". Can anyone explain what this means?

The Cisco www for Fabric Manager is very poor and out of date.

Many thanks in advance!

Hello,

The orange X is most likely because of the missing redundant power supply. I also raised this as a concern to Cisco as the second power supply isn't required to run the 9124.

I haven't hear of the "Hub: null" message before. What Fabric Manager version are you using? Can you post an attachment picture of what you are seeing?

Thank you.

Not at work this week, but IIRC we are using either Fabric Manager 3.1(2) or 3.2(1).

I will get a screenshot of the "Hub:null" at some point next week.
