show run issue

Unanswered Question

Hi guys, this could be a really simple fix but i cant seem to find the answer im looking for.

For some reason in the last week or so, when i do a "show run" command on my cisco PIX 515E instead of it just showing one page at a time and allowing me to either use enter/spacebar to scroll down through the config, it just displays the whole config in one go without stopping.

How can i stop this happening? It annoying becuase its a large config and in putty i am unable to see the settings towards the start of the config.

Can anyone shed some light?

I have this problem too.

you need command

ie pager 200 would allow 200 lines before the --more-- prompt

I use pager 24

BTW you can increase scroll line buffer in putty (window --> lines of scrollback --> 200 is default that is not enough in most cases -- I use 2000)

Hope that helps rate if it does
