Locking down 7940 SIP phones with CME 4.1

I'd like to do the following:

Disable the speaker

Disable the PC port

Lock out the menu settings

I'm running CME 4.1 on a Cisco 2811 router, and running SIP P0S3-08-7-00 on the Cisco 7940 phones. I was able to get this working on the Cisco 7941 phones, but the config files are .xml where the 7940's are .cnf files.

Here's what I have on the 7941 xml files:

I'm trying to do the same thing on the 7940's but the options aren't in the .cnf files and when we try inserting them using the .cnf syntax, they fail.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Symptom:

An overlay button on an IP phone is used to initiate a hardware conference (ad-hoc or meet-me) on CME 4.1 or 4.2. After the conference is established and destroyed, all calls to any of the overlay extensions configured on the button of the IP phone will only react with the VMWI blinking and not with CallerID and the changing telephone icon. The phone must be reset to return to it's normal functionality.

Conditions:

CME 4.1 or 4.2 with Hardware Conferencing enabled.

Workaround:

Use a button that is not configured with an overlay to initiate the conference.
