Hi,
Was anyone ever successful in making a 3rd party SIP softphone work? If so, what application was used. So far I have not come across a softphone that will register properly on my CCM 5.1.
Thanks,
Marvin

I heard X-Lite from Counterpath is working with CCM 5.1, but personally i havent tried

I've tried X-Lite but the Callmanager gives a status of Rejected. With the different flavor of SIP parameters that are being sent to/from the CCM, it seems that both softphone client and CCM never synch up completely
Hoping someone out there can shed a light on this.

X-lite actually does work with CCM, however the only way it'll work is if you enter your extension as the username.
X-Lite does not register via "digest authentication" so any of you using LDAP for end user authentication will not be able to run x-lite softphone.
It's interesting to me that 3rd party SIP softphone compatability with CCM is very weak.
