Hello,
I would like to know if their's a way to restrict a caller from the outside from calling a directory number in our voice network. We are using CCM 4.2(3) with MGCP gateways.

This might be what you need but it requires H323 gateways
How to block incoming calls on Cisco CallManager and Cisco IOS voice gateways based on ANI and DNIS information

Create a calling search space for the gateway that includes 2 partitions:
Outside-blocked
System
In the "Outside-blocked" place translation patterns that block the DN's you don't want called.
And the "System" partition is your normal existing partition for DID-reachable DN's.

So, I can create this Outside-blocked CSS and put a DN that I don't want called by a certain number. Or does this config block any calls from coming into that DN.

that config will block ALL the calls to that DN coming in from that gateway
