UNity Connection Mailbox without user

Hi

In Unity Connection (BE 6.0.1) can I have a mailbox that is for a number not a user. I want a general delivery mailbox for a department.

Hi Patrick,

I read your other post and was surprised to find out how the mailbox creation is done in BE. I was not aware of this "interesting" config change. I'm guessing that you are going to have to setup some sort of a "dummy" user that is associated with the DN you want to use for the Group Mailbox.

For example, for the Marketing Department maybe you can use Mark Eting (I know :) etc.

There must be a way to do this in Business Edition.

Hi

I couldn't find a way to create a mailbox for a number. I have created a dummy user along with a dummy device profile (as you have to have an assigned device profile to get a preferred DN and without a preferred DN you cant import the user to Unity Connection ...)

It's along winded process but it does work and I now have my departmental mailbox working.
