vlan switching stalling on 6513, but restartable in a strange way

I have a 6513 that has many vlans on it trunked around via 802.1q links. One vlan in particular will frequently stop passing any traffic at all. This seems to happen randomly, sometimes several times an hour. The work-around is to remove and re-add the vlan to the allowed vlans to *any* trunk. This seems to "kick start" the vlan back into working for a while. This makes very little sense to me. Any suggestions on where I might look to find what is making it get stuck?

If the trunk does not pass specific VLAN traffic, the issue can potentially be that the VLAN has not been added in the database. Issue the vlan database privileged EXEC command in order to enter VLAN configuration mode. From this mode, it is possible to add, delete, and modify VLAN configurations for normal-range VLANs.
