DFM 2.0.10 - restart services to receive notifications

Hi Folks,

I've noticed that often times I stop receiving email notifications. I then do a stop/start of crmdmgtd and they start rolling in again. Twice I even had to delete and recreate the "Subscription" and "Notification Group" to get the messages coming in.

Is it normal to have to restart the services so often to get the email notifications working. (I am carrying out dfm tuning at present by the way).

Cheers, SteveK.

No, this is not normal. However, the notification daemon is single-threaded, so if something blocks the queue, you may have to restart NOSServer for notifications to start coming again. If you run with Notification Services debugging enabled, the NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/NOS/nos.log should have some information as to why the queue is being jammed.
