Hi All
I am due to implement LMS 3 on a customer site very shortly. We will have to go down the multi server setup route due to the number of devices to be managed (3500+).
Could I use a virtual IP to link all 4 servers or do i stick with individual IPs for each box. Would a virtual IP impact on any area of LMS. Do I then assign the virtual IP as the SNMP host on the cisco boxes?

You'll need to use an individual IP address for each server and make sure each IP resolves to a hostname.
Virtual IP isn't supported and could impact numerous pieces of the app.

Nice one Davistan.
One other question - do I then specify each individual server as an SNMP host or just the main Common Services server when config'ing the cisco kit.
Thanks

It depends on what you are doing on each server.
Common Services will be installed on each and I would suggest allowing each server to have access to snmp.
Each server will need to manage its devices even in a master/slave setup.
