Syslog file too big

We have 2 CW servers on W2003 that are primary and slave setup.

RME ver on both 4.0.5 and CS 3.0.5.

Problem is that the syslog file is 16 gig on the primary and 23gig on the slave. CW won't backup if the file is over 1Gig. This has been set in RME Admin, syslog, backup etc.

Yep, this is a known bug, and is fixed in newer versions of logrot.pl. As a workaround, you can run NMSROOT\bin\logrot_trunc.exe on the file, and it will be truncated to 0 bytes. Then you can run logrot.pl as usual to keep the size down after that.

Do I need to stop any CW services or reboot the server etc?

Nope. Just truncate the file, and all should continue working.
