I have a new customer site that has a wireless network for mobility within the office space. I got reports of very slow network connectivity and network outages on the wireless segments. After investigation, I discovered that the area had been flooded with approximately 45 other access points in the area. How do I combat this without switching everything to 802.11a. Are there any "special" settings for a deployment like this or am I doomed. The wireless network owned by the company comprises of 2 Cisco Aironet 1100's in a 2500 sq foot building space.

If you are using a controller and lightweight AP's you could always try the containment feature. I know it works well because another business did it do us and took us down for a couple of days.

Usually you have to do some clever selection of antenna types and locations.
You may need to replace the APs and get some sector-style antennas.
Good Luck
