As far as I can tell from their site, they only require single area (area 0) configuration knowledge for the CCNA. Multi-area configuration isn't until the BSCI.

Thanks..I had read that somewhere too but The Cisco official certification exam guide discusses both types of configuration. Thats why I wanted to be sure...Thanks for confirming it for me...:)

Hi Uzma,


If the exam certification guide discusses configuration of multiple areas, then you have to know it for the exam to the level it is discussed there.


It is better to be prepared than to have surprises.
