By default, CM prepends SEP to the MAC address and populates the desciption field on the phone configuration page. It seems that there are better uses for this field. DN? User Name? Anyone have any reommendations on how they have populated this field with useful information?
Well, it depends on the company, I normally use descriptions like:
Sales Department
Accounting
Management
But at the end is a description that makes sense to you as Network Administrator.
