Hi,

Kindly describe the topology how the clients are connected to the network. Also post the running config of the router which you want to act as DHCP server.

--gaurav

from the FastEthernet of the router a straight through cable going through a Linksys 24 port switch and the client pc's are connected from the switch using straight through cable as well.

Attached in this message as well is a copy after I typed in sh running-config

Thanks in advance and good day

Hi,

I'm not able to understand anything in the file attached. The word are inter-mingled. Kindly paste it directly on the space here.

--gaurav

Also let us know if you have created some vlans in your switch. preferably paste switches' config also.

--gaurav

we can't read that config you posted. some of it's garbled. can you repost it please.

sorry for the inconvenience, let me post it here directly...

there are no vlans configured in the switch

What you have posted is still unreadable due to the intermixture of various text outputs. I suggest that you go back to the router and do a fresh capture of the running config text and post an easier to read and understand version.

Though the pasted message is not clear, Iam just thinking there should be ip dhcp on the interface where the address needs to be assaigned by dhcp.
