Can someone please provide the best way to achieve the below.
We are running CCM 4.2 and Unity 4.0(5).
What we want to happen is when call comes into Unity's main call handler (main greeting) and caller presses #2 for marketing, we want this call sent to a hung group pilot point, which cycles through line group the marketing phones, and if someone doesn't answer, then the call is sent to a voicemail box tied to a distribution list of which are marketing folks are in. We tried to set this up, but when a customer presses #2 at main call handler, it goes to callhandler voicemail.
Can you please provide the specific steps to achieve our goal
on the unity side you would need to create a dummy call handler which will transfer to CUCM
leave the default config and under transfer options use "yes, ring subscriber at this extension" and use the pilot point DN
for the handler on which they press #2 have it attempt transfer to the dummy call handler
this will get done the part on which they press #2 and are transferred to the pilot point
now, on the CUCM side configure the AC hunt group and set as the always route member a CTI route point with CFA to VM
now on the VM side create a routing rule for forwarded call on which the calling DN is the CTI DN and route it to the mailbox you want
