Hi to all,
If we change the codec in the call manager 4.2(3) in the regions from g711 to g729, do i have to do something else in the cisco unity 4.2(1)

Not necessarily...
Unity performs fine in a multi-codec environment.
If Unity is currently configured for G.711 then you will need to make sure that calls coming into the Unity at from a remote site using G.729 are transcoded to G.711.

You may also enable support for G729 thru the advanced settings tool in the unity tools depot
