No matter what cables I try, I can not get into a 3005 CVPN - any ideas of what connectors I need?
Thank you

For the console of a 3005 VPN Concentrator you want a straight through serial (9 pin) cable - not the rolled cable that is common on IOS devices.
But I am wondering if you are talking about the console since the rest of the title of your question indicates E/FE. Perhaps you can clarify what the question is about?

1- Use Teraterm or SecureCRT terminal app,
2- Connect a DB-9 connector to the the console
port of the VPNc,
3- Connect a DB-9 connector to the COM1 port
of the PC where Teraterm or SecurCRT runs,
4- set the setting to 9600/8/1/hardware,
5- connect one end of the ethernet cable to
the db-9 connected to the PC. The other end
should be connected to the DB-9 connected
to the VPNc.
Now you will get a login prompt
Easy right?
