Shut down switch via telnet or ssh

How can I remotely shut down the 3524 switch and Cat OS 6509 switch via telnet or ssh? Please advise.

You can reload the switch with the reload command as for shutting off the switch, I recommend plugging the switch to a managed UPS system and you can then remotely shut off power connectors from remote.

That feature is not currently available, you need an external device for that.
