Potential T1 clocking prolems?

Our customer purchased a 2851 but instead of the vwic2-mft's they bought the vwic-mft's (first generation). Will there potentially be clocking issues for below setup?

vwic-2mft - 1st port used for incoming PRI, 2nd configured as PRI and connected back to back to NM-1CE1T1-PRI (this setup is to get modem calls into NM-1CE1T1-PRI and onto PVDM2-12DM)

second vwic-2mft - port one and port two will be for frame-relay connections.

vwic-1mft (T1 connection up to MPLS network).

thanks

Hi, you should have no issues. Each wic can be off independent clocks. Don't forget to configure network-clock-participate.

Also, you can now terminate the modem calls directly using the vwic, it's in some new IOS, I can't find the release notes now, but I will eventually.

Woops, the correct info is that they added yet another T1/E1 WIC card that works with the digital modems, here it is:

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
