CCNP Recertification

Unanswered Question
Feb 13th, 2008

Hello,

Could someone please clarify the CCNP recertification policy. Can I recertify my CCNP by taking any professional level 642 exam? For example, even though BGP is a CCIP related exam, could I take the BGP exam and use to to both recertify my CCNP exam and count towards the CCIP certification. Or do I need to retake one of the 4 CCNP exams (BSCI, BCMSN, ISCW, ONT)to recertify my CCNP?

Thanks

I have this problem too.

Hello a.proctor,

Below I have provided the policy that is listed on the CCNP page. www.cisco.com/go/ccnp.

CCNP Recertificaton

--------------------

CCNP certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum after 01/01/06, or pass a current CCIE written exam.

You can take any 642 exam under a professional level certification not just CCNP related.

Hope this helps.
