Bandwidth consume

Hi Guys, I have the following doubt:

When I work G.729 for call external its use 24K for call, When I work G.711 for call locally its use 80K for call. Ask,

If I will have 03 sites for example(Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais), if I work in Sao Paulo, but, I was for Rio de Janeiro and to do login with my user de Sao Paulo and to do call go out for PSTN it bandwidht consume will serÃ¡ 24K or 80K or none of the two.

Wilosn,

When you log on to the phone in Rio de Janeiro the phone will download your user device profile. It will also assume certain aspects of the phones configuration (Region and Location).

So although your extension number will move with you, Call Manager recognises which site you are at.

Therefore the codec used will depend upon how you have set your regions. Most likely G.711 for calls within teh region and G.729 for call outside the region.
