PRI Provisioning

I have a Cisco 2811 with a NM-2CE1T1-PRI network module. We plan to use this for backups via demand dial routing to remote Cisco routers with BRI cards.

I am placing my PRI order and was sent this provisioning form to fill out. It seems very PBX specific so I need a little help.

General Provisioning Information

Framing: I put B8ZS/ESF

Digits to complete call (3/4/10): I put 10

DS1 Specific Provisioning Information

Out pulse type (DTMF or Dial Pulse): ??

Supervision Signaling: (E&M or Other): ??

In & Out Start Signaling (Immediate or Wink): ??

Outgoing Trunk Selection: ???

Dial Tone (PBX Provided or Carrier Provided): ??

The framing and digits sound fine. I would ask your provider about the other parameters - I don't think they really pertain to what your doing. This is probably a generic form that is provided for all PRI's and this info would be needed if you were connecting it to your PBX.

Thank you for clarifying this. Hopefully they will know how to configure it on their end.

Now I need to find some articles on how to configure it on my end. :-)

Jim is correct, the "DS1 specific parameters" would only apply for a CAS circuit, but wisely you're requesting PRI.
