Unity dual integration - MD-110 using PIMG?

Unanswered Question

Hi Netpros

I am looking at integrating a Unity 5.0 system with a Ericsson MD-110 PBX. Unity is currently running with a CallManager 6.0 cluster and there are Q-SIG lines between CCM and the PBX.

I would have liked to integrate them using the qsig but I don't think that MWI is supported so it looks like I will be looking at PIMG units.

My question is, has anyone configured a PIMG with analog and serial integration between Unity and a MD-110 before?

Is this the best method to use?

I have this problem too.

Hopefully you've already found the config docs for this. But just in case, see the "Setting up Serial..." and "Appendix: Ericsson" sections in the Unity-PIMG guide here:

There is another option you might consider if MWI is the only thing lacking on your QSIG trunk. You could send all call traffic across the QSIG trunk but then use a direct serial connection between Unity and Ericsson just for MWI. See here for example:

Thanks Eric

I did see the PIMG doc but not the section about the MWI for non integrated phone systems, this is great and will investigate further.
