How can i send packet across Network?

Hello Guys,

How can i send data (notepad/word documents) across a network segment and not just pinging?.

I just want to have a real fell of READ data transmission and not pinging going through or not.

Hi Netman,

You need to set up hosts on the network and establish communication between them through the configured network.

Another method to test you network is to TELNET into other routers through the network.

Also, a good test is to set up a new subnet on a router and advertise it through a routing protocol.

In a working network, the new subnet will appear in the appropriate remote router routing tables.
