All the doc are saying about from inside number of host to outside conn..My concern is i m having one server in inside interface.I wanted to access this from some 300 hosts from outside..Is it my pix 501 will support the conn? r how many conn form outside to inside it would support.I think 50 hosts..Kindly provide me info...

Hi,

Pls provide information as soon.

from outside to inside Pix does not consider/count the source from where you would be coming as a host defined in license feature, therefore you can have your internal server access from 200 outside machines..you are safe don't worry about the limit

example :-

static (inside,outside)

this one public ip accounts for one entry in local host table, doesn't matter how many hosts access this pubic ip

Thank you very much...

so Limits all about the how many inside systems we are having..

yes
